I have just installed WordFAst Pro 5 demo on my Windows 10 but it is not starting. I tried to repair the installation, uninstall it and reinstall it but I can only go as far as the splash screen. Wordfast Anywhere (WFA) is an online version that merges Wordfast Classic and Wordfast Pro. If you already use WFP or WFC, you'll feel at home. WFA is free at this time, and most of its features will remain free.
Wordfast Server (WFS) can host and serve very large TMs and glossaries to Wordfast Pro or Wordfast Classic over the internet (LAN or WAN). WFS is the ideal solution to centralize, rationalize, and share linguistic resources. Qualified network administrators/IT personnel can deploy it without assistance.
Wordfast Aligner (WFL) (beta) is a totally free aligner for the entire translation community (no need to own a Wordfast product). WFL offers linguistic-grade, cutting edge alignment to/from 36 languages.
Demo modes: WFP and WFC offer demo modes that let translators perform small production jobs for evaluation (up to 500 segments; emptying the TM/database lets you repeat the demo mode indefinitely). WFS' demo mode allows up to three connected users for free.
Wordfast Pro (WFP) is standalone software that allows translators and project managers do their daily work in a neat and efficient translation environment. It also includes a suite of Quick Tools for pre- and post-translation batch processing of dozens of file types. WFP runs natively in Windows, MacOS, and Linux.
The current WFP user interface and underlying technology was first implemented as version 4.0, publicly released in April 2016. Since then, it has been improved and updated, most recently to version 6.0.0 (January 2021).
Note: The legacy version of WFP premiered in January 2009 and was based on a different underlying code. It was last updated to version 3.4.14 in August 2018 and is no longer in development. It still works in many systems and some users continue to use it; it can run alongside the most recent version of WFP on the same computer.
