Iris For most people, the word Iris conjures up visions of brilliant June flowers, for perennial Irises are among the best known and loved of garden plants. This huge genus contains upward of 200 species, which range from timid and inconspicuous wildings to splendid Tall Bearded Iris (some of which rebloom in the late summer). Iris pseudacorus is a vibrant and vigorous plant—sometimes to a fault. This wetland iris is considered invasive in many parts of the U.S., so gardeners should cultivate the yellow flag iris responsibly and prevent it from escaping into nearby lakes and wild areas.
All open data arriving in (near) real time at the IRIS DMC are available from the DMC ’s SeedLink server. The web services should not be used to retrieve continuous, real time data via repeated polling. Instead, the SeedLink server should be used when continuous data streams are needed.
